Note: 1 September 2025. The Met Office have declared this summer as the warmest on record. Unlike previous warmest summers the reason isn't very hot weather. We've experienced technical heat waves but nothing exceptional. In total, here at Sole Street Weather, only 6 days went over 30C with only 2 of those passing 32C. The cause of the record breaking summer was the consistently warm weather, particularly at night. Since 8th June only 1 day (21 August) failed to reach 20C and only a single night (22 August) dropped below 10C.
